General Linen Service Co., Inc. announces achievement of Clean Green certification.

 

March 8, 2013:  General Linen Service, based in Somersworth NH with additional facilities in Westbrook ME, Manchester NH and Smithfield RI, today announced that it has achieved Clean Green certification from the Textile Rental Service Association (TRSA).  TRSA Clean Green Certification recognizes companies that demonstrate responsible leadership in sustainability and conservation to protect the environment. The program acknowledges a textile service company’s continuing commitment to improving efficiencies in water and energy conservation and adoption of best management practices for reusing, reclaiming and recycling resources.  To obtain the certification, laundries must document their efficiencies in water and energy use and deploy best management practices (BMPs) such as:

December 10, 2012:  General Linen Service Co., Inc. today announced the opening of its latest Service Center, located at 25 Thurber Blvd, Smithfield RI 03297.  The company has created 10 new jobs initially, with plans to double that in 2013.  Said Chris DeSaulnier, VP and COO, “To better serve the needs of our customers in south/central Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, we are pleased to announce the opening of our 4th Service Center, located at 25 Thurber Blvd, N. Smithfield RI.  With the loyalty and support of our customers, we have continued to grow and expand, and this expansion will allow us to provide increased service coverage and support for our southern New England customer base.”

Harvest on the Harbor Preview

General Linen Service is a proud, four time sponsor of Portland Maine’s fifth annual Harvest on the Harbor food and wine show. This show receives visitors from over 30 states and a handful of other countries, totaling more than 5,000 people. Winner of a “Kindle Fire” from the 2012 Boston Food Show

General Linen Service, a New England linen and uniform rental and leasing company with corporate headquarters located in Somersworth NH is pleased to announce the winner of a “Kindle Fire” from the 2012 Boston Food Show in Boston.

The Boston Food show had over 300 exhibitors and 10,000 people visit show over the 4 days.
