Outside Sales Representative - NH

Under direct supervision of the Sales Manager, our Sales Representatives will spend the majority of the time on the road with the primary responsibility of acquiring new business within an assigned market area as identified by the Sales Manager.

Must have access to a home office where he/she will work when not on the road, and it is expected that he/she will visit his/her corresponding depot at least one time per week.

Responsible for account visitations and establishing solid working relationships with the Route Managers and District Managers who are all integral members of the market area teams.

Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings that allows for the exchange of ideas, concepts, trends, competition and opportunities for improvement that may or may not be unique to the individual market area.

The primary objective is to maximize profitability for the company within assigned market areas.


Establish and develop new business through all means available including extensive prospecting, cold calling, networking, telemarketing, and referrals.

Establish realistic expectations for the customer so that our first impression is a favorable one.

Complete new account paperwork accurately and completely and deliver to the office in a timely manner. Failure to exercise due diligence regarding proper execution may have negative impact on the company.

Perform existing account visits in an effort to enhance relationships within the accounts and cement the role of the Route Managers and District Managers toward the resolution of any and all service related issues. Each account visit also provides the opportunity to build and strengthen referral networks.

Complete and submit sales reports each week as part of a weekly paperwork package. Accurate reflection of activity for the prior week is essential.

Submit Account Visit Reports for each of the account visits reported on the weekly sales report.

Maintain accurate records of cold calling/meeting/presentation activities relating to numbers reported on the weekly sales report.
Market area assignments not withstanding, Sales Representatives may be pulled from their market area for limited time campaigns that are of importance to the Company.

Education and Experience:

  • College Degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years outside B2B sales experience with solid book of business within assigned territory
  • Proven track record in sales

Other Qualifications and Equipment Utilization:

  • Results oriented, strong planner, self-motivated and committed to being successful
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Clean driving record
  • Requires the ability to use the telephone, computer and calculator
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications


Will be required to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. occasionally, stand and walk frequently throughout the day, driving personal motor vehicle throughout the day.
